About Headroom Hair - Our Origins
Sally Clarke, the owner of Headroom Hair, had the vision to create an incredible workplace, with an awesome team of outstanding stylists and an amazing, family-like team culture. In 2000, Sally established Headroom Hair, and the business has since grown to three busy, successful salons.
If you’ve visited one or more of our salons, you’ll have witnessed the fun atmosphere, with friendly banter and camaraderie amongst our team members – and clients. Sally has made Headroom Hair a great place to work and is now supported by Abbie in the running of the business, as well as our three salon managers.
We love working together, and we’re unconditionally supported by Sally and Abbie through proactive empowerment, training and all the support required to help us pursue our career goals and to enhance the level of service we deliver.

Our Competencies
Headroom Hair stylists undertake lifelong learning, from apprentice to master and beyond. All our stylists complete a 3-4 year hairdressing apprenticeship before growing their knowledge and in-salon experience over the years.
Our team members are all highly trained and we are constantly updating our skillset through ongoing training, enabling us to continually improve our capabilities and continue to elevate and enhance our level of service.
We also undertake three-monthly training with Goldwell, as well as other stylists from around Australia, to ensure we provide you with informed advice on all the latest trends, styles and colour products.

Our Community
As long-term locals, we’re proud to be a well-established and integral part of the Ballina and Lennox Head communities. Over our time in business, we’ve built strong relationships with the wider community by supporting local charities, sporting and community groups. These include: Sponsoring the Ballina Junior Rugby League Club, making regular donations to many local charities, and donating to The Smith Family, who help Australian children to complete their education. We’re very community minded and always love helping out local families and charities.
